== 社區心理衛生中心的服務區域 ==
社區心理衛生中心的設立是被規劃來服務一個可及的地域([[:en:Catchment area (human geography)|catchment area]])，其人口數在75,000至200,000人之間，其目的在於可管理及財務能支應。此區域內的每位民眾都被列為服務對象，該中心對任何族群的服務不能有差別待遇<ref name="multiple" />。

*[[鄉村]]型：1965~1973年之間，美國500多個社區心理衛生中心中就有40%位於[[鄉村]]([[農村]])，並可分為「純粹鄉村」(rural)、「非純粹鄉村」(non-rural)與「部分鄉村」(part rural)三種類型，其中亦有提供[[農民]]因應相關農業危機(farm crisis)之[[危機處置]]服務<ref name="multiple" />。
